The celebrations of the continuing journey of the Earth around the Sun are over. The Solstices (Winter and Summer), and all the religious and non-religious festivals occurring at this time have come and gone. Our bodies protest at the weeks of overindulgence as the memories of the event slowly fade.

A New Year on The Good Earth

One of the great things about working and volunteering in Timor Leste is the amazing people you meet as well as really inspiring places. One such person is Mr Simao Barreto, Director of CNEFP a modern and innovative vocational training centre in Tibar on the outskirts of Dili.
Michael O’Connell (shown above, holding some massive leaves) was fortunate enough to interview Simao during his last visit to Tibar about the school and the growth of the Horticulture courses being offered at Tibar.
